Mission of Mount Lebanon
Mount Lebanon Baptist Church is called to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs of the evangelical Christian faith. We maintain the worship of God and inspire in all people a love for Christ and a passion for righteousness and a consciousness of our duties to God and mankind.
We pledge our lives to Christ and covenant with each other to demonstrate His Spirit through worship, witnessing and ministry to the need of the people in this church and community.

The desire of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church is to communicate the life changing power of Jesus in an understanding way, to develop people into responsible, productive and successful Christians and to equip them in the ministry and mission of His church.
Our beliefs are based on the verbally inspired and inerrant word of God. The sixty-six books of the Holy Bible are the complete and divine revelation of God to man and are the final authority for faith and life.
We believe in the one Triune God existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit; co-identical, co-eternal, and co-equal in power and glory and perfection.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal and only begotten Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
Jesus accomplished our redemption through His vicarious death on the cross and our justification was made sure by His literal physical resurrection from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is exalted to the right hand of God and is our intercessor and Advocate.
Salvation is the gift of God by grace and personal faith in Jesus who shed His blood on the cross at Calvary for the forgiveness of sins.
We believe in the personal, bodily, pre-tribulation, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our Statement of Faith is in alignment with the Southern Baptist Convention.
I. The Scriptures
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
II. God
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
